Actually, a macro is a series of commands and functions that are stored in a software module and can be run whenever you want to perform the task. For example, if you want to extract the FASTA header from a multi FASTAheader of few sequences then a macro can do a wonder very easily.  In another words, if you perform a task repeatedly, you can automate the task with a macro. Previously, I talked about textpad, an efficient text editor , that can be used for macro design and use.
